Retention for salons

The leak

She loved her cut. She said she'd be back. She meant it.

Then a week passed, and another, and the diary quietly filled with everyone except her. No row, no complaint, no rival poached her. She just didn't rebook.

Most salons don't lose people to the shop down the road. They lose them to silence: the gap between a first visit that went well and the second one nobody ever booked.

The clients that do come… never rebook!

A salon owner, in her own words - from our research

~65%of first-time clients never return for a second visit.

£31.50of a £75 first booking goes to the platform that introduced her.

What Fawned does

Not another dashboard. A front of house that never forgets to ask her back.

She gets asked back - automatically

The moment a first visit goes well is the moment to invite the next one. Fawned does that for you, in your salon's name, at the right time - so the ask feels personal, not automated.

Where the proof comes from

From barbershop to salons. How Fawned was born.

We built Fawned for the barbershop we run in Putney, to bring people back without nagging them. It worked: visits that were walking away came back, and the diary held its rhythm. Salons are why we built it out, the same wound and the same fix, in a room that never had a front of house to catch it.

£149/month

A front of house who rebooks everyone is a £20,000 salary. This one is £149 a month. One recovered colour appointment a week pays for it twice over.

  • 01Set up in your salon, by Andrew, in an afternoon. Working before he leaves. Nothing handed to you to figure out.
  • 02His number in your phone. Something feels off, it's fixed that day. No ticket queue, no chatbot.
  • 03Your founding rate, held for as long as you stay. It never goes up on you.
  • 04First say on what gets built next. The product grows around your salon, because you were here first.

Plain answers

The questions owners actually ask.

What does it cost?

£149 a month for founding salons, held at that rate for as long as you stay. No setup fee, no tiers, no contract you can't leave.

What does it need from my booking system?

Very little. Fawned sits on top of Phorest, Fresha, Timely, SalonIQ, Zenoti, Slick and the rest - it reads the visits, it doesn't replace the diary. Nothing to migrate, nothing to relearn.

Why do you visit in person?

Because a salon isn't a spreadsheet, and the first setup is worth getting right in the room. Andrew comes to you, sets it up around how you actually work, and leaves it running.

What does "founding" mean?

Thirteen salons get in before it opens wider. You get the founder rate, a direct line, and a genuine say in what's built next. In return, your result helps write the proof for the salons after you.

Do I have to leave Treatwell or Fresha?

No. Keep them for being found - that's what they're good at. Fawned's job is making sure the client they introduced once never needs introducing again. You pay to meet her one time, not every time.

Will it annoy my clients?

It reads like a message from you, because it is - your salon's name, one well-timed note, no blasts. The moment it would feel like marketing is the moment it doesn't send.

What if it doesn't work for me?

You leave, and you stop paying. It's month to month. We'd rather you stay because the diary shows it's working, not because you're locked in.
